Today we decided after praying and asking for direction that we should tell our neighbor that we can not purchase the building that we want so badly. All OT has been cut and that leaves our budget almost undo able. But thanks be to God because he is making a way before us and fighting our battles for us. All we have to do is be obedient and follow him. So why is that so very difficult at times?
Tonight one of my children got upset and had a bad attitude after I would not buy a particular food item for them. Because it was name brand it cost 3.oo and they had a similar item for 1.00 (that of course was basically the same thing only not COOL). I was furious with my child and hurt because I had made a special point to stop and get them some things for their lunches and had not planned on doing that. So when I received this attitude that what I was trying to do for them wasn't good enough I got really upset.
But I couldn't help but think that just this morning I had done the same thing with God. I have been wanting to purchase that building so badly and got upset when I had to let it go. I cried. I really did. Because I wanted that building so much. There are times I think that God must get so angry with us just as I got angry with my child. We act like spoiled brats stamping our foot at God and saying BUT I WANT IT!!! How difficult it can be to overcome our own selfcenteredness at times. And I praise my God that He sent Jesus to me.
"Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. " aw

Faithful
"Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.."
So, many of you know that I lost our cell phone and could not find it. I believe now that there was a reason. We have been having trouble with our car and were not driving it for fear that it was the transmission. Since I didn't have my cell I had not called to have it looked at yet. We did not know how we were going to afford to do this. So I parked the car and it sat there for a week. At which time I replaced my phone and was about to call to get it looked at when the big wind storm hit. A huge tree branch fell on my car and busted out the sunroof and put some pretty good dents in it. So guess what, Progressive Insurance just totaled our car which we own free and clear and now we are rid of the troublesome car and have a check for several thousand dollars to begin making some headway with our debt snowball. We are planning on purchasing a much cheaper vehicle aka a "Dave Car" ha ha then using the rest t0 build some momentum. I believe in the Providence of God. Do you?

Too Much!!!!
So Eli and I have been doing a lot of talking today. Pretty Deep. But one thing that he said absolutely made me double over laughing. He was talking about how much he loved books. He said,"If I were president I would make sure that books were cheap and that there were no taxes on books." So I reply,"Eli, you don't have pretend when you are at school that you don't like books. " To which he replies,"Well mom, I just don't want to be that loner in the 8th grade that is always reading stupid books about dragons that doesn't talk to anybody. You know he has black hair, is short and chubby and no body likes him." I CRACKED UP. because....every class has that kid. Remember? And don't worry he knows he is not really like that kid. Just a witty comment by an extraordinary kid. aw

Too much month at the end of the money
We are taking the Financial Peace University Course at a local church and it is tuff. The hardest part for me is knowing that there is not much that can be cut from our one income family of 5. But I know that eventhough it may take longer than I would like to get out of debt. It will happen. Eli was talking on the way home from class and said,"Mom, I would drive 30 hours just to see Isabelle for a day. Even if she was in a bad mood." I thought that was so sweet. And I know he definatly means it. Eli is doing pretty good at guitar. Luke is doing great at soccer. It is quite a time commitment but I love that he is loving it. And Grace is doing well with violin too. She is truly commited to it. And she looks so beautiful when she plays. Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get but I do know that it is far more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined. Thank you Jesus for my life and the lives of my loved ones both far and near. Even my wonder dog Hank. aw

Reflections
Thinking back on who I am
The road I've traveled
The life I am.
Wondering ...
Will my journey
Leave in it's wake
A legacy worth telling?
What difference will it make?
I have been alot of people.
Sometimes strong.
Sometimes feeble.
I do not always understand
the heart that beats within me.
All I know is that deep within
I'm always hoping,
Always dreaming.
Seeking HIM
sometimes wholly, sometimes weakly.
Hoping those who share with me the sunset of my life
Will see it's seasons and know...
that THROUGH HIM
I breathed in the sunrise with unspeakable praise,
Basked in the sunlight of joyful days,
Danced in the twilight for all of His Ways,
Sought out comfort and warmth through wintery stays
Then finally with thankful heart
Laid down to rest in starlight so fine ...
My life for my Savior's and His for mine. aw

Sweet Autumn Clematis
When we moved I was saddened to leave behind one of my favorite plants. I purchased it from Wayside Gardens and had never seen it before. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it too. So you can imagine my great suprise when I realized that I have at least 3 volunteer plants here at 17 West South. (I have plenty to share if you would like some). But anyway...just had to share some pics. I love flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aw
