Little did I know that day how God was preparing me for what was to follow. The "Spiritual Basic Training" that He has been using to instruct and teach me has been very similar to boot camp. The stripping of the old identity, the breaking of the will, and the process of rebuilding the woman, transforming me from civilian to soldier. From one who followed after my own will to one who follows His. I have been a Christian my whole life, doing the best I knew how. But until I was completely broken, I did not freely come to my Master on a regular daily basis. I had seasons of trying to do what I knew I should but had not come to recognize how completely dependant upon Him I was to be.
I was like an unbroken horse or mule. I pray that you are not so stubborn as I was, that you know your master and willingly follow after Him without having to be broken first. He is a kind and loving master who calls to us through the beauty of His creation every moment of every day. Through His beauty He call to us to come to Him. Notice Him today in the beauty that surrounds you
HE is all we truly have or need. Love HIM and love others through HIM.

Oh to remember that I am only a branch - and I am to remain in Him as He nourishes me. Apart from Him, I can do nothing.
